GoAdserver allows you to create Include Filters and Exclude Filters, which can be used as whitelists and blacklists, enabling you to refine the targeting of your campaigns.
It is possible to use different options to create these filters, covering all of our client’s needs. Below, we explain each of the available options:

• Adzone Exclude Filter – (Adzone Blacklist)
• Domain Exclude Filter – (Domain Blacklist)
• ISP Exclude Filter – (ISP Blacklist)
• IP Filter – (IP Whitelist/IP targeting)
• Adzone Include Filter – (Adzone Whitelist)
• Domain Include Filter – (Domain Whitelist)
• SubId Exclude Filter – (SubId Blacklist)
• SubId Whitelist Filter – (SubId Whitelist)

The main difference is that Exclude Filters (BL) let you directly connect campaigns, while Include filters (WL) don’t have this option, so you can link campaigns only through the campaign settings (Step 1).

To create the filters, to go to Advertising > Filters. Next, select the type of filter you want to create from the top menu.

Adzone – Include / Exclude Filters Setup: Use these filters to WL/BL adzones.

– Select Filter type
– Add the Adzone ID (one per line) and click “ADD AD ZONE”. Once adzones are added you will see them in “Exclude/Include ad zones” text box.
– Add Filter name.
– Select the filter targeting:  Global level (will be applied to ALL campaigns at account level) or Select Ad type.

* If you select an Ad type, such as Banners for example you could also select to apply the filter to ALL banner campaigns or you can select an individual campaign.

Domain – Include / Exclude Filters Setup: Use these filters to WL/BL domain names.

– Select Filter type
– Add the Domain name or Domain ID (one per line) and click “ADD DOMAIN”. Once domains are added you will see them in “Include/Exclude domains” text box.
– Add Filter name.
– Select the filter targeting:  Global level (will be applied to ALL campaigns at account level) or Select Ad type.

SubID – Include / Exclude Filters Setup: Use these filters to WL/BL subids.

– Select Filter type
– Add the Subids (one per line) and click “ADD AD SUBIDS”. Once Subids are added you will see them in “Subids” text box.
– Add Filter name.
– Select the filter targeting:  Global level (will be applied to ALL campaigns at account level) or Select Ad type.

ISP – Exclude Filter Setup: Use this filter to BL Internet Service Providers.

– Select Filter type
– Add the ISP name (one per line) and click “ADD ISP”. Once ISP are added you will see them in “ISPs to Exclude” text box.
– Add Filter name.
– Select the filter targeting:  Global level (will be applied to ALL campaigns at account level) or Select Ad type.

IP – Include Filter Setup: Use this filter for IP Targeting.

– Select Filter type
– Add Filter name.
– Add the IPs or IP Ranges (one per line) and save.

* To apply this filter, it is necessary to edit the campaign, go to step 3, and select the corresponding filter in the ‘Select IP Pool‘ field.
