GoAdServer allows publishers and media buyers to set up Direct Deals with flexible delivery rules. These deals give full control over how impressions are allocated, prioritized, and capped. Below is a breakdown of the supported Direct Deal types and how they behave in the system.
1. Exclusive
This type of deal has the highest priority. When it matches, no other campaign (WL, RON, RTB) is evaluated.
Use Case: Ideal for premium campaigns where the advertiser requires exclusive access to the ad space.
Guarantees delivery without competition.
2. Capped with Period
Description: The deal has a maximum impression limit defined per time period (e.g., 10,000 impressions per day).
Behavior: Once the cap is reached for the current period, the campaign pauses and resumes in the next one.
Use Case: Great for pacing delivery evenly over time or aligning with daily budgets.
3. Capped
Description: The deal has a total impression cap, with no time constraint.
Behavior: Once the total number of impressions is delivered, the campaign stops permanently.
Use Case: Suitable for campaigns with a fixed delivery goal (e.g., 100,000 total impressions).
4. Capped on Max. Impressions
Description: This campaign will stop once the Maximum Impressions value set in the deal is reached.
Behavior: Similar to a standard cap, but often used for stricter control within more complex setups.
Use Case: Useful for controlled tests, flash promotions, or when precision is critical.
5. Percentage Based
Description: This deal will serve up to a specific percentage of the available impressions on the Adzone.
Behavior: Remaining traffic is available to other campaigns.
Use Case: Perfect for inventory sharing or multi-partner monetization strategies.
6. Remnant
Description: This is a low-priority fallback deal that only runs if no other eligible campaigns are available.
Behavior: It fills unused inventory, ensuring no impressions go to waste.
Use Case: Often used for house ads, backup campaigns, or low-priority demand.
